Your role

As a contract controller, you have a central role in the work of quality assurance, follow-up, and control of providers for placed children and young people. You work closely with contract coordinators, administrators, and other functions within the youth unit and collaborate with external actors.

The position includes participating in a LUM-funded project (Right care at the right price) aimed at ensuring correct placements, contributing to shorter care times, and achieving more cost-effective care without compromising quality.

In the role of contract controller, you will, among other things:

  • Contribute to the development of working methods and routines related to follow-up, control, and quality.
  • Conduct seriousness checks of providers during direct procurement, which may include reviewing company information, finances, debts, creditworthiness, legal contexts, and board and ownership relationships.
  • Check providers' licenses, supervision cases, and decisions from the Health and Social Care Inspectorate (IVO).
  • Ensure that providers have staff with the right competence and meet the set requirements.
  • Participate in the city's network for welfare crime HVB.
  • Work closely with contract coordinators responsible for placement and matching, as well as administrators handling invoices, to prevent incorrect invoices and unqualified actors.
  • Visit new providers together with contract coordinators, which may involve travel and work at inconvenient hours.
  • Maintain contact and collaborate with external actors, such as the Police Authority in the work against welfare crime.

You have an interest in quality and control issues and want to contribute to ensuring that children and young people receive the right care from reputable providers. You are confident in reviewing, following up, and setting requirements while understanding the complexity of the operations. You enjoy working both independently and collaboratively with others and find it easy to cooperate with various professional roles and external actors.

You are structured, meticulous, and analytical, with the ability to handle multiple parallel tasks. The role also requires you to work flexibly, adapt as needed, and maintain focus even during periods of high workload.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant higher education or other education/experience that the employer assesses as equivalent.
  • Experience in review, follow-up, control, or work with contracts, finance, or operational follow-up.
  • Good analytical skills and experience in identifying risks.
  • Good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in public services, social services, placed care, or work against welfare crime.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Other

Full-time comprises 39.5 hours per week. Selection and interviews may take place continuously.

We look forward to your application! Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at recognizing each person's competence and thus counteracting discrimination.
